British RAF Mk3c Pilots Flight Helmet & Type M Oxygen Mask Display Set Bone Dome

British RAF Mk3c Pilots Flight Helmet & Type M Oxygen Mask Display Set

I have tried to identify this as best I can. Please see photos for condition. Obviously sold for collector purposes only, no guarantees of flight worthiness.

Comes with display head.

1. Helmet: RAF Mk3c

* Shell: White fiberglass outer shell featuring a high-visibility reflective tape cross.

* Visor System: Dual-visor configuration (clear inner visor, tinted outer visor). The central visor track mechanism is covered by the standard-issue black cloth protective cover.

* Hardware: Features standard black metal side plates securing the visors and metal hooks on the lower side jawlines, originally designed to accept the chain harness of Type P or Q series masks.

2. Oxygen Mask: British Type M

* Body: Soft black rubber facepiece with an integrated flat, round front microphone assembly. (Unlike later masks, this model does not have a rigid plastic exoskeleton).

* Harness: Flat grey fabric webbing straps riveted to brown leather patches on the mask body. The straps currently terminate in metal rings that have been hooked over the Mk3c helmet's mounting pegs for display.

* Hose & Connectors: Includes the standard corrugated rubber breathing hose terminating in a metal Mk 7 bayonet oxygen connector. A straight black communications cable runs parallel to the hose, terminating in a comms plug.
