Vintage 384th Bomb Wing Group Veterans Reunion Jacket King Louie WWII B-17 XXL
Vintage King Louie Pro Fit jacket, made in the USA, embroidered with “Larry” and a large “384TH BOMB WING” design.
This is a reunion / association jacket from a 384th reunion in the early 1990s, The style, personalised first-name embroidery and decorative 384th artwork are consistent with reunion or heritage clothing produced for members of the 384th Bomb Group / Bomb Wing veterans’ community.
The 384th Bomb Group served with the 8th Air Force during WWII, flying B-17 Flying Fortresses from England, and veterans of the group continued to hold reunions and heritage events for decades afterwards.
The jacket dates approximately to the late 1980s / early 1990s, a period when 384th veterans were attending major reunion events and maintaining close links with the later 384th Bomb Wing at McConnell AFB.
Research has found several 384th veterans known as Larry or Lawrence.
Good vintage used condition with age-related wear. Please study all photographs carefully as they form part of the description.
A very unusual piece of 384th Bomb Group / WWII 8th Air Force / veterans’ reunion memorabilia.
